Nebosh General Certificate

Audience Intended for Managers, team leaders and supervisors and those with a responsibility for safety in the workplace. Course Structure The course consists of 2 taught units: NGC1, The Management of Health & Safety and NGC2, Controlling Working Hazards NGC3 Practical Report Writing Objectives: At the end of the course the delegates will be able to: Attend the certificate examination Conduct a safety inspection of the workplace and produce a report on appropriate, cost effective remedial actions. Exemptions Those who have achieved the: NGC1, National General Certificate Paper A1 NEBOSH National Diploma Unit A NEBOSH National Diploma part 1 NEBOSH National Diploma part 2 NEBOSH Construction Certificate Within the last 5 years will only have to take and pass the second unit of the General Certificate, and General Practical Assessment to achieve the new qualification. Assessment Two written examination papers (each of 2 hours duration), a practical test involving a safety inspection of a workplace (1/2 hour duration) and the preparation of a report following the inspection (1 1/2 hours duration) unless exemptions apply, see above Candidates can choose to study and register for the unit examinations individually and will gain a unit certificate on successful completion of each unit. Course Length The course consists of 10 lecture days, 1 revision day, 1 day of written examinations and the practical test. This course can be delivered in company.
